What do you want done with your body after you die?

Cremate me. Unless I was murdered or died in an otherwise suspicious manner, then bury me. I also don't want my funeral to be religious in any way whatsoever. I don't want any church using my death as an excuse to proselytize my loved ones. Give me a basic memorial service in the park or the library. And have a buffet with lots of food and booze for people afterward.

Yup. That's my plan.

Writer's Block: Spoilers Below the Cut

Have you ever ruined the ending or given away plot developments in a book, movie, or tv show by telling someone who hasn't seen or read it what happens? Has anyone ever done this to you?

As far as I can recall, I haven't done this to anyone or had anyone do it to me, but I still have an interesting answer to this one. When the "Star Wars" movies came out, my dad was stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army. He was really looking forward to seeing the movies when he got back to the United States (and apparently in those days, American movies didn't reach Germany quite as quickly as they do today). Unfortunately, my aunt wrote him a letter and gave away the ending.

Writer's Block: Change of Law

If you could change a law from any time in history, which would you change and what impact would this have?

I don't think I could settle on changing just one law, to be quite honest. There have been so many human rights abuses throughout history, I don't think I could justify changing only one of the laws that supported those abuses. Off the top of my head, I can definitely think of a few things I'd like to change, including, but not limited to: laws supporting slavery, laws that "let" us kick Native Americans off of their land, laws that denied women and minorities the right to vote, laws prohibiting abortion and contraceptive use, and any law that allowed discrimination on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, or religious affiliation.

The sad thing is that that's only scratching the surface.

I pretty much never update this thing. I'm wary of writing much about my job on the Internet--could be risky business. For anybody who stumbles across this thing, here ya go...

Hey... so... I guess I've pretty much gotten out of this whole LJ thing. Feel free to add me if you like, but I don't imagine I'll be posting here often. Mostly I'm here to join groups, talk with people, be silly, get recommendations for books and things. Comment if you want me to add you because I'm a little scatterbrained and forget things often. :)
